Thank you for your partnership with us in prayer as we ask the Lord for a spiritual awakening in and around Johnson County! What we are focused upon is a work that only the Father can accomplish - and therefore our first and greatest means of work is prayer.

Prayer is a matter of priority. There are many things we can do, and indeed should be doing, but prayer must lead the way. Prayer acknowledges our complete dependence upon God, demonstrates our submission to follow His way in our work, and helps us discern His perspective on the tasks before us.

Prayer is powerful and effective. It is powerful because God works in response to our praying. It is effective because God is the One working.

There are no barriers that God cannot cross or communities too hardened for him to bring about a radical transformation. No neighbor or neighborhood is beyond His reach.

As we pray, God works. As we pray, His Spirit stirs people’s hearts and begins to draw them unto Himself. As we pray, long-standing strongholds begin to strain under the weight of His Hand - and begin to fall!

Why should we pray? Because God has told us to pray. We pray because it is the first and greatest thing we can do!

Here are three ways you can be involved:
  1. Ask your church to adopt one day per month (such as the 13th, or 24th, etc.) to pray for spiritual awakening and revival in and around Johnson County. Promote that day in your worship service, bulletin, newsletter, and website. The Sunday before your adopted day, remind people to pray. You might choose a designated time to pray, suggest an amount to time, or leave it up to the individual. However you do it...encourage your church to pray!
  2. Participate in the First Friday Fast and Prayer gathering each month. Fast for part or all of the day on the first Friday of the month. Join us in praying for revival and spiritual awakening on the first Saturday of the month from 10-11AM. The next Prayer gathering is scheduled for May 8, 2021, location TBA.
  3. Use the Caleb Prayer below as a guide to praying daily for revival and spiritual awakening.

Whatever you do...PRAY ON! God will most certainly work for His Glory and our good AS WE PRAY!

caleb prayer

O High King of Heaven,
Have mercy on our Land.
Revive your Church.
Send the Holy Spirit for the sake of the last,
the least and the broken.
May your kingdom come to Johnson County
and our nation.
In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
